Fees
For their official duties, notaries receive non-negotiable fees which are standardized through the Federal Republic according to the German Court and Notary Costs Act which has been in force since 01.07.2013 (GNotKG). Everyone is entitled to freely choose their own notary which means, for example, that any property transaction can be notarized in Berlin – it does not matter where the property is located.
